About Me
Mainly self taught, I’ve been painting leisurely for years; but working in full time employment in a completely unrelated field, left me with little time for artwork. I gave up work a few years ago and was able to devote more time to my painting and I started to exhibit in 2008.
I’m inspired by the countryside and what is around me. I like using different techniques and subjective colours to create images. I get totally immersed in the activity of painting; my aim is to try to produce happy and uplifting work. I feel in many ways that I am starting on a path which is as much about the pleasure and activity of painting as it is about actually producing a picture.
